There’s a unique tie-up of film and classical music taking place on Sunday.

Like movies? Like the sound of a live music at Symphony Hall? If you do, roll up for Sunday night’s collective performance of There Will Be Blood starring Daniel Day-Lewis, supported by the London Contemporary Orchestra.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s Oscar-winning film is accompanied by the live performance of the film score which was composed by Jonny Greenwood.

LCO has been performing Greenwood’s music for the past nine years. The score includes original compositions as well works by artists such as Avo Part and Brahms. In 2012 it recorded Greenwood’s score for The Master (Greenwood’s second collaboration with Paul Thomas Anderson). In addition it has worked with musicians such as Radiohead, Arcade Fire and Gioldfrapp.

There Will Be Blood was one of the major box office hits of 2007 and won two Oscars, one for lead star Daniel Day-Lewis for best actor and one for cinematography.
