Fundraising planned for city theatre

Take your seats with Ormiston Academy.

Birmingham Ormiston Academy is giving people and businesses the chance to support its Birmingham Old Rep takeover, by dedicating a seat at the iconic theatre.

Whether you’re promoting a business, commemorating a special occasion, celebrating a loved one or simply want to show your love for the theatre, the dedicated seats give you the opportunity to become a part of one of Birmingham’s most beloved sites.

Situated in the heart of Birmingham city centre, the Birmingham Old Rep Theatre has become a unique platform for students from BOA to develop their performing arts skills after the academy took over ownership of the venue in September. Utilised by students studying subjects including musical theatre, acting, dance and production, the theatre is regularly home to both student and amateur group performances.

For a donation of just £250, or £400 for two seats, your dedication will include an inscribed plaque featuring a personal message, and will be guaranteed for five years*. All proceeds will be injected directly into the running of the theatre, helping to provide students with practical experience both on stage and behind the scenes.

Gaynor Cheshire, principal at BOA, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer people the chance to become part of this exciting project, enabling local people and businesses to support the arts in a unique way. With the money raised helping to fund new and exciting projects at the theatre, it’s a great time to get involved with the academy.”
