Legends? You got ’em.

On Thursday there’s a first time at the Robin for 10cc, one of the biggest and most innovative bands of the seventies, who have sold over 30 million albums and been cited as an inspiration by such varied artistes as Chrissie Hynde, Axel Rose and Sophie Ellis Bextor. As with many of their contemporaries the hits may have dried up but their live performances are better than ever, with an enviable catalogue classic songs honed by decades of experience.

Then Sunday evening promises to be a very special night. Ben E. King is one of the greatest soul singers of all time. His work with the Drifters is enough to secure him entry to every hall of fame that might exist, but this was topped off with an equally-impressive solo career. Support is from another soul great, Jimmy James & the Vagabonds, with DJs including former BRMB man Mike Hollis.
