Nightingale’s got the X factor

Talent show finalists head straight to Birmingham.

X Factor fans who want to see finalists perform live will get the chance see them in a series of late-night shows in Birmingham.

Starting from Saturday October 19th the show’s finalists will appear on stage at the city’s iconic Nightingale Club, as it has in previous years. The late-night shows will be part of the Kent Street gay superclub club’s Big Saturgay Night Out, which regularly attracts more than 1,000 clubbers each week to the venue.

Club owner Lawrence Barton said: “We’ve had a deal with X Factor for the past four years where we host the finalists as they leave the show each week. People love it and they love to meet them at our venue.”

The 2,000 capacity venue has instigated new theme nights as well as introducing the Midlands Big Gay Night Out which has seen hundreds of revellers bussed in from more than 16 cities and towns into Southside to boost business.

Clubbers from London, Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol are turning to the club and visiting Birmingham thanks to the Nightingale’s initiative, which has seen acts including Mel B, Little Mix, The Saturdays, Stooshe, Brit and MOBO award winner Lemar, Lawson, Marcus Collins and Stacey Solomon, as well as impromptu appearances from celebrities visiting the city.
