MWA Technology, which celebrates its 20th year in business in 2012, will market Trumeter power management products to its existing customer base that spans architects, contractors, distributors, OEMs and energy monitoring professionals.

The official launch of the partnership will take place at the Facilities Management Show later this month (May 14th-16th), where visitors will be able to see firsthand the latest solutions for remote monitoring of water and energy.

“We are really excited about the tie-up with Trumeter Technologies and expect there will be a lot of interest at the forthcoming event,” explained Martin Wardell, Managing Director of MWA Technology.

“We understand the need for precision metering within the pursuit of reducing waste energy and water without compromising building and business conditions.

“The agreement will ensure we can offer our customers the very best metering solutions and, in particular, strengthens our range of AMR Products – something the industry is increasingly demanding.”

Automatic Meter Reading is one of MWA’s fastest growth markets, as more and more oganisations demand a way of automatically collecting consumption, diagnostic and status data from water or energy meters and transferring it to a central database for billing, troubleshooting and analysis.

This technology saves utility providers the expense of periodic trips to each physical location to read meters and customers can better control the use and production of energy.

Birmingham-based MWA Technology is embarking on a major expansion programme this year.

Employing 28 people across its two sites on Wharton Street Industrial Estate in Nechells, the company is hoping for an increase in sales to £10m by 2016 as demand for its products grows across the UK and Europe.

It has already invested heavily in increasing its stockholding capability and further funding is being channeled into increasing the range and diversity of its meters.
