ANDY HAMILTON MBE (1918-2012): A CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE

The Notebenders Big Band, the Blue Notes, David Murray, Jean Toussaint, Gary Crosby and Nana Tsiboe amongst others pay tribute at Symphony Hall to the legendary jazz musician and community figurehead Andy Hamilton at 2pm on 26th June. Doors open at 1.45 and admission is free on a first come-first served basis.

WAGNER’S RING: DIE WALKÜRE

Opera North’s semi-staged version of this classic, which has left glowing write-ups in its wake (including a rare 5* review from the Telegraph), takes place on 30th June and is one of the final Symphony Hall 21st Anniversary Festival events. JOHN SHUTTLEWORTH: OUT OF OUR SHEDS
