This Week at the Assembly

Leamington’s finest opens its doors once more.

10ccOn Wednesday night the legendary seventies chart-toppers 10cc are at the Assembly. Still featuring the awesome voice of Graham Gouldman, who also wrote hits for bands such as the Yardbirds, the Hollies and Jeff Beck, a night of quality music is guaranteed. Tickets £22.50

Thursday sees a sold-out show from retro hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks, whose top five album from last year Stereo Typical, drew acclaim from the unlikely quarter of Stephen Fry.  They also played the Reading and Leeds festivals as well as working with the likes of Dizzee Rascal and the Streets.  Tickets £12.50 (returns only)

On Friday there’s Depeche Mode tribute Black Celebration. Tickets £15

Friday has blues guitarist Oli Brown at the Assembly. One of the most hotly-touted musicians in the country, Oli won Best Male Vocalist and Best Young Artist in the 2010 British Blues Awards, following these up with Best Band and Best Album for Heads I Win Tails You Lose last year.  His new album Here I Am is released this week.  Tickets £15
