New dates for Town Hall

Birmingham’s oldest concert venue has announced a new batch of forthcoming attractions.

Michael Winslow, the Man of 10,000 Voices and better known as Sgt ‘Motor Mouth’ Jones from the Police Academy films, plus voiceover man for Family Guy and The Simpsons and world-class sound impressionist, debuts at Birmingham Town Hall on 6th June. Tickets £16 on sale now

A legend in her homeland of Ireland, Mary Black, the singer from Charlemont St, Dublin with 25 years performing and seven platinum solo albums to her name heads to Birmingham Town Hall on 7th June. Tickets £15/£19.50/£24.50, on sale now.

The good-time, uptown, low-down and five-time Grammy award winning bluesman Robert Cray returns to Birmingham Town Hall on 29th June ahead of time back in the studio for a new release later this year. Tickets £29.50, on sale now.

On 1st July Birmingham Town Hall hosts the Brant International Piano Competition, a superb opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of performances from young pianists and potential stars in the making, all competing to win a first prize of £3000 and recital engagements. Tickets £10, on sale now

Manchester’s sharp-dressed, sharp-delivering punk poet John Cooper Clarke is set to machine-gun some of his best poems and anecdotes at Birmingham Town Hall on 11th October, with a BBC Four documentary airing this spring. Tickets £15/£18.50, on sale now.

Jazz Jamaica All-Stars and Urban Soul Orchestra celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jamaican independence with a sensational new orchestral interpretation of Bob Marley and the Wailers’ groundbreaking and iconic album Catcha Fire at Birmingham Town Hall on 13th October. Original Manfreds members Paul Jones, Mike Hugg and Tom McGuinness plus former member Mike d’Abo, are joined by Rob Townsend, Marcus Cliffe and Simon Currie for an exciting 50th anniversary line-up on 17th November at Birmingham Town Hall. Tickets £26, on sale now
