British television icon and former BBC News presenter Peter Sissons leads an exciting line up of speakers at Coventry University this week as part of the free-to-attend Coventry Conversations programme.

The former News at Ten presenter, who also anchored bulletins for ITV and Channel 4 news during his career, will talk about his life on and off screen, the Hillsborough disaster and going to school with the Beatles – all at 1pm in the Ellen Terry building on Thursday.
On Wednesday 19th October, Peter Barron – the man who heads up Google’s PR in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa – will talk about how he sees the future of computing and the future of the software giant he works for. His conversation will take place at 1pm in Coventry University’s recently-opened state-of-the-art student building, The Hub.
Also in The Hub on Friday at 1pm, eminent journalist Chris Arnot will offer an insight into his career as a features writer for some of the UK’s leading newspapers. Chris’s work appeared for many years on the pages of the Coventry Telegraph before he moved on to write for the Guardian and the Daily Telegraph, diversifying in later years into writing books – including, recently, one on the ‘Lost Cricket Grounds of Britain’.
