V Festival Travel Information

Thousands of music lovers from across the region and beyond will be catching National Express West Midlands buses to this year’s V Festival – being driven past the car park queue through on-site bus lanes to a priority entrance.

V FestivalNational Express West Midlands is running ‘V’ bus services from Wolverhampton bus station (stand U) and Stafford railway station from Friday 19 August.

Services will run every 15 minutes from 0800 until 2230 on Friday.  The return journeys from the festival site will run until 0030 and will carry an estimated 10,000 music fans over 20,000 miles.

Bus passengers have priority access to the site, resulting in less congestion on the roads and less time spent in traffic queues. Over 200 National Express West Midlands staff working on over 40 buses will be involved in the four day operation to help fans enjoy one of the UK’s most popular music festivals.

Return travel to the festival on the ‘V’ bus costs £8 per person and single tickets cost £5.

Nick Newcombe Operations Manager for National Express West Midlands said: “The V Festival is a real highlight in the calendar.  Moving over 10,000 fans over four days takes a lot of preparation and hard work but over the course of the weekend we will be taking thousands of cars off the roads and reducing the effect of congestion on the area around the site.”
