Birmingham Jazz announce 2021 festival

Three-day event welcomes back jazz to the city.

Long-running promoters Birmingham Jazz have announced the return of their Festival from 11th-13th June. This year the event will be drawing inspiration from the post-Covid special theme of jazz as a special meaning to followers and musicians, a “pertaining to life; living; vital” art form.

Promoting this festival is the affirmation of a commitment to jazz as a living, vital musical art form, ever-evolving to engage new and diverse audiences, young and old, from many different cultures and both genders.

The festival will be presenting bands and musicians with the same commitment to jazz and to diversity. Celebrating the meaning of jazz to life, there will be a varied and diverse demographic range of artists, representing the worldwide influences that jazz encompasses and celebrates.

All twelve gigs of this year’s festival will take place at Birmingham Jazz’s regular 1000 Trades venue in the Jewellery Quarter over three days. For full details of the bands and tickets visit the Birmingham Jazz website at birminghamjazz.co.uk.
