PR agency East Village expands with new clients

Agency welcomes new client wins as leisure and hospitality re-opens for business.

Award-winning PR agency East Village is celebrating a raft of new business wins as leisure and hospitality venues get set to re-open across the country. With the Government roadmap well underway, the Midlands-based agency has been appointed to launch a new mini-golf complex, celebrated gastropub, and a brand-new food and drink destination.

On the back of its most successful year to date, Birmingham-based East Village has been appointed to launch Treetop Adventure Golf, which is set to open in the Bullring this summer. The immersive mini-golf experience is the brand’s fourth UK site –following in the footsteps of Cardiff, Leicester and Manchester – and will open in the former Forever 21 location on the southern side of the shopping centre. The venue will boast two indoor 18-hole mini golf courses and a selection of vibrant food and drink options.

East Village has been one of the region’s go-to agencies for retail, leisure and hospitality launch events since starting in 2013. The agency has supported the likes of Ralph Lauren Bicester, Marco Pierre White Birmingham, Las Iguanas, Revolución de Cuba, Malmaison Hotels, and Millennium Point, to name a few, with both PR and events.

As its core sectors prepare to re-open for business, East Village has also been appointed by the new owners of The Cross Guns Inn, located in Bolton. A celebrated gastropub, the venue will open in June under new management, headed up by Jon Peek; an experienced hospitality operator whose previous roles include multi-site General Manager across the Marco Pierre White restaurant group. Located in Egerton, the pub will celebrate the best of British cuisine and will offer a 70-guest Art Deco cocktail lounge for private events.

Jon Peek comments: “Having worked with the East Village team on various projects over the last six years, the one thing that always stands out is their passion for what they do! This is why I did not have to think twice about approaching them when I needed support on launching my new project.

“Their attention to detail, quality of work and honesty is what makes East Village my go-to when I need support with any PR or event management projects.”

These latest openings come as East Village also prepares to support the team behind Hockley’s Hen & Chickens, who will be opening a brand-new bar and restaurant concept in the Jewellery Quarter. Opening later this year, The Rolling Mill will serve up a fresh take on European flavours and classics with a vintage twist. The 280-cover venue will boast ample indoor and outdoor space, with a covered courtyard, a heated mezzanine rooftop, two bars, and a private internal terrace.

East Village Founder and Managing Director, Tara Tomes (pictured), adds: “After a year of missing our favourite places, we’re now starting to see our much-loved cafes, bars, restaurants and leisure destinations re-open their doors once again… and it’s just such a milestone! I’m so proud of the way we, as an agency, have supported, promoted and guided both clients and friends in the industry through what has been such a tough time. After the hard work and changing goalposts, I cannot wait to see leisure and hospitality properly re-open, and working with these three incredible venues is the icing on the cake.”

An agency that prides itself on working with brands who share good values and great stories, East Village has also recently been appointed as PR partner for the upcoming MBCC Awards 2021. Celebrating multicultural business and community champions across the UK, the awards will take place in Birmingham city centre this November.

“For the past seven years, East Village has helped the best in the business to open their doors – from big-name brands to innovative independents – and I’m so glad that we start planning launches and supporting events once again!” concluded Tara.
