Bingo Lingo returns to Birmingham

Summer fun promised at re-opened venue.

Cult bingo brand Bingo Lingo has announced a summer schedule of events at brand new venue, Forum Birmingham.

The Cardiff-born unconventional bingo night – which has previously sold over a million tickets to revellers across cities including Bristol, London, and Bath – has announced a summer residency at the new venue, starting from 21st May.

Bingo Lingo was first launched in the summer of 2016 at Cardiff events venue, The Depo. It promises an off-the-wall and exciting breed of bingo that features twerking, dance-offs, one-of-a-kind prizes.

Past winners have walked away with prizes ranging from the incredible to the ridiculous; from a new car and electric scooters, to festival tickets, giant inflatables, and a money-can’t-buy, cardboard cut-out of Phillip Schofield.

Over the years, random celebrity guests have included Mr Motivator, The Chuckle Brothers, Louie Spence and The Mariachis. In 2019, Bingo Lingo even hosted a one-off ‘Bring Your Nan’ event, which saw all ticket profits going to Age Cymru.

Bingo Lingo will be one of the first events held at the new Forum Birmingham, a 3,500-capacity venue – the legendary venue formerly known as The Ballroom, the Top Rank Suite and The Academy. The space has been fully renovated in preparation for a return to live events after Coronavirus.

Nicholas Saunders is the 29-year old entrepreneur who founded Bingo Lingo. He said, “We’ve held events in more than 30 cities now, and after such a long wait, we’re super excited to be coming back to Birmingham; Forum promises to be a fantastic venue.”

Tom Ranger, Head of Events and Programming at Forum Birmingham said, “Despite having witnessed some truly iconic moments in British music history, our venue has lain dormant and decaying for a decade – but not anymore! Bingo Lingo is a welcome addition to what will be a brilliant schedule of events for Forum Birmingham.”
