Free tennis on offer

Nationwide participation event to include Birmingham venues.

British tennis’s governing body the LTA have announced plans for the upcoming Nature Valley Big Tennis Weekend, a series of free tennis events that will be taking place at tennis clubs across Birmingham and the rest of the nation on the 28th and 29th September.

With the vast number of all-weather and indoor facilities available nationwide, these weekends will showcase why tennis is a sport that can be enjoyed all year round.

People of all ages and all abilities are welcome to join in, whether you haven’t picked up a racket before or want to reignite an old flame and start playing again.

All equipment will be provided on the day, including rackets and balls, and there will be a host of coach-led activities and games for the whole family to get involved with. The Edgbaston Priory Club for example, are offering players the chance to try their hand at CardioTennis, Mini Tennis and free play with the family

The events will showcase some of the fantastic tennis facilities that Birmingham has to offer, including a multitude of all-weather and indoor courts that players can enjoy all year round. Those interested in attending can find their nearest club and register their interest here
