LandFlight saves popular bus route

Acocks Green-Solihull route to get new lease of life.

A popular bus service is making a return journey thanks to a West Midlands travel firm.

LandFlight, based in Solihull, has stepped in to save the A12 bus service, which runs between Solihull and Acocks Green, via Olton, and will be increasing the frequency from every hour to every thirty minutes. The route covers several schools, a college and two railway stations.

LandFlight, which recently invested £2.3 million in low emission vehicles, launches the service on September 2nd. Director
Danny Matthews said: “This is a vital service, so we are delighted to be bringing it back for residents. Our increased frequency will allow youngsters to get to school at the perfect time, whereas previously they either got to school far too early or missed the start.

“The times we will be running will be much better for rail commuters who use Olton and Solihull stations too.

“A lot of older and less mobile people will also benefit from the reintroduction of the service. We are thrilled we can bring this popular service back for the community and we hope residents make the most of its return.”
