An ice breaking adventure has arrived in Birmingham

Ice Age: The Lost Kingdom promises “an adventure like no other”.

Ice Age: The Lost Kingdom has arrived in Birmingham for Easter, with forty amazing animatronic creatures descending upon Birmingham’s Botanical Gardens. A family-friendly adventure like no other, you can roam the gardens amongst woolly mammoths, sabre-toothed tigers and giant sloths as you explore the UK debut of this stunning attraction.

The first touring animatronic Ice Age experience in Europe, this prehistoric show brings all the sights and sounds of Ice Age to life, taking guests back in time through an entertaining and educational journey. With the aid of animatronic technology, forty creatures not only line the pathways of the gardens but fill the atmosphere with realistic sounds that transport you back 70,000 years.

Following its opening this weekend, the tour remains at Birmingham Botanical Gardens until 28th April before heading to Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham and Leeds.

Ice Age: The Lost Kingdom has been created by Weli Cultural Alliance, the team behind Magical Lantern Festival, which came to Birmingham for the third time last Christmas.
Naz Kabir, Global Event Producer and Marketing Director, comments: “We are excited to bring Ice Age: The Lost Kingdom to Birmingham as the first stop on our UK tour.

“This new concept has delivered a fantastic family experience, filled with both entertainment and education; teaching children about prehistoric times and bringing history to life. It’s a great day out for the family and allows you to explore the stunning Birmingham Botanical Gardens.”

In celebration of the tour’s debut in Birmingham, Weli Cultural Alliance gifted 500 tickets to the Birmingham Children’s Trust, giving the city’s adoption and foster families the opportunity to explore the exhibition. Naz continued: “It’s really important to use to make Ice Age: The Lost Kingdom accessible to everyone, so we were delighted we were able to work with Birmingham Children’s Trust and gift tickets to the local families they support.”

Alongside the animatronic action, there is tonnes more fun to be had at Ice Age: The Lost Kingdom, with street food, an on-site mini cinema marquee where an educational Ice Age documentary will premiere, and a fossil excavation pit for kids to unearth. Guests will also be able to take the spectacular experience home with them with an exclusive onsite merchandise store.

Tickets for Ice Age: The Lost Kingdom are on sale now and can be booked online in advance for £12.50 for adults and £10.50 for children
