Birmingham Jazz presents

More from the city’s regular jazz promotion.

Birmingham Jazz begins 2019 with a locally-connected act at the Jewellery Quarter’s 1,000 Trades bar this coming Friday.

Wilkins/Harris, a new duo of Guildhall and Birmingham Conservatoire students will be performing the final leg of their UK autumn tour, with music from their latest self-entitled EP. A captivating piano-vocal duo, they bring together their multiple influences from folk, classical and jazz music to create mesmerising wordless landscapes, virtuosic improvisation and heartfelt songs.

Formed during their time studying in Birmingham, the two combine original music, re-worked jazz standards and short interludes to display their individual talents as both performers and composers, with a varied programme that maintains a consistent joyful and engaging character.

Friday 11th January, 1000 Trades, 16 Frederick Street, Jewellery Quarter, B1 3HE
