Wine, dine and Maribel

Get a seat at the table for Maribel Restaurant’s first wine dinner.

Maribel, the new home of award-winning Richard Turner, will be hosting its first wine dinner next month when the restaurant teams up with Mark Dent from The Drinks Emporium. Taking place on Thursday 27 September, this dinner will see guests enjoy a five-course menu paired with wines from around the world.

Highly regarded as one of the UK’s leading chefs, Richard Turner has now taken up the role as head chef at Maribel, which opened in Brindleyplace earlier this summer. The restaurant’s menu is already receiving high acclaim from critics for celebrating the very best seasonal produce.

Turner will be creating a bespoke, five-course menu for an evening dedicated to uncorking wines from around the world. Guests will enjoying Black Dog Hill Classic Cuvée from South Downs, before sitting down to enjoy a selection of hand-picked wines to accompany each course. Guests will be taken through each wine explaining the origins, production process and why it’s the best choice for the specially-created menu.

Tickets for the Maribel wine tasting are available now, priced at £99 per person, including a welcome drink, five-course menu and five accompanying wines, which will be introduced course-by-course, before Turner joins guests at the end of service to talk through the menu.

Open on the former site of Edmund’s at Six Brindleyplace, Maribel’s menu continues to evolve each week, as the kitchen adds new dishes to reflect the freshest ingredients and best seasonal produce.

Speaking about Maribel, Turner comments: “Maribel is about serving up fresh and exciting menus that let the food really speak for itself. There are no gimmicks, I am just going back to what kitchens should be about; the very best ingredients that create something really special.”
