Bromsgrove date for Dean Friedman

Artix event as part of festival.

Dean Friedman, one of the pre-eminent songwriters of his generation is performing at Artrix this July, as part of Bromsgrove Festival, to mark his 40th anniversary in the music business.

He will be celebrating with the digitally remastered, re-release of his 1978 ground breaking album Well, Well, said the Rocking Chair which was released on April 13th on Real Life Records.

Dean Friedman will also mark the milestone by performing the entire album live on tour, including a date at Artrix on Friday 13th July and concluding at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August.

Friedman will be performing solo, on guitar and keyboards, featuring songs from throughout his four decade recording career, including his classic hits Lucky Stars, Lydia and Ariel,as well as selections from his last studio album, the fan-funded 12 Songs.

During Dean’s performance at Artrix there will be a chance for a fan to enter a competition to Duet-with-Dean on his biggest UK hit Lucky Stars, live on stage. If any Bromsgrove audience members would like to enter, they can find details here

This year marks Friedman’s 15th appearance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where in addition to his regular concert runs, he’s written and produced several hit children’s musicals, including Smelly Feet – a children’s musical that really stinks!

Tickets to see Dean Friedman at Artrix on Friday 13th July at 8pm are £27.50, or £25 for concessions.
