Stratford hotel forms partnership with Shakespeare’s schoolroom

Entry discount offer for hotel guests.

The Townhouse, a Stratford-upon-Avon boutique hotel with twelve luxurious rooms, is thrilled to announce that it has teamed up with Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall to offer its guests a 50% off ticket entry deal to this award-winning visitor attraction.

Situated directly opposite The Townhouse on Church Street in the town centre, Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall re-opened following a beautiful £1.8 million restoration in April 2016, the 400th anniversary of the death of the Schoolroom’s most famous former pupil.

Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall is the original 16th century part of King Edward VI School and where William Shakespeare spent his school years and first experienced theatre. The building is still used by King Edward VI School as a teaching space, so that students may experience the inspiration of being taught in the same building as William Shakespeare.

Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall was recently named visitor Best Visitor Attraction 2017 in the Coventry & Warwickshire Tourism & Culture Awards. In 2018 it won the Team of the Year award in the Touch FM Pride of Stratford District Awards. It was also a finalist in the Tourism Initiative Award category and is rated No 1 recommended historic sites and museums in Stratford and No 3 out of 101 things to do in Stratford on TripAdvisor.

You can visit the award-winning Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall between 11am–5pm daily. Entry with 50% off as guest(s) of The Townhouse is £4 for adults and £2.25 for children. Family (2 adults and 2 children) is £11.90. For more information visit www.ShakespearesSchoolroom.org
