Cadbury World unveils latest snow-stopping creation

Model of Winter Olympics to mark Winter Paralympic Games.

The sky’s the limit with Cadbury World’s latest creation; a recreation of the snowy mountains of PyeongChang.

Weighing in at over 45kg, the creation has been made to celebrate ParalympicsGB’s participation in this year’s Winter Paralympic Games in PyeongChang, and features Cadbury’s mischievous Chuckle Beans competing in a variety of sports including Para Nordic skiing, para alpine skiing and para snowboard.

The scene presents a wintry landscape of a milk chocolate mountain topped with white chocolate snow, a piste, snow-covered fir trees, a crowd of Chuckle Bean spectators and a commemorative ParalympicsGB plaque. Each Chuckle Bean has been individually handcrafted and painstakingly detailed in order to reflect the range of sports the British team will be competing in at this year’s Games.

Made from the equivalent of 1,000 bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk, the mountain was expertly crafted by two of Cadbury World’s chocolatiers, Dawn Jenks and Donna Oluban, over the space of 2 days. The mountain range also features details of the PyeongChang landscape including trees and rock formations created using food colourings plus the use of edible lustre and glitter to give the ‘snow’ some extra sparkle.

Tim Hollingsworth OBE, Chief Executive of the British Paralympic Association, said: “I am delighted to see Cadbury World capture the fun of the Games and celebrate our fantastic partnership. The detail in what the team of chocolatiers have crafted is brilliant, and it is great to see the Chuckle Beans turning their hand to winter para sports!”

The creation will be on display at Cadbury World, based in Bournville, Birmingham for the duration of the 2018 Paralympic Games. Cadbury and Cadbury World are owned and operated by Mondelēz International, an official Gold Partner of the British Paralympic Association.
