Waxing and wailing

Charity leg wax aims to raise funds for hospice.

Robert volunteered to have his legs waxed to raise money for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, who are currently supporting his mother Jenny through cancer.

Not wanting to suffer alone, he quickly sought the support of Mathew Pol, Mathew Par, Chris Baker and Adam Clarke (Jenny’s nephews), Daniel Pollock Sr (Jenny’s brother) Daniel Pollock Jr (Jenny’s great-nephew) and Chris Heath, because Chris doesn’t like pain and will squeal like a newborn baby. Robert thought this would add greatly to the entertainment value.

To really make a night of it, Robert booked the British Legion, Quarry Lane, Northfield for Friday 19th November, a DJ and organised a raffle. This will be a family friendly event and therefore children up to 16 will be admitted free with accompanying parent/carer. Children must be added to the parents tickets at the time of booking to monitor numbers for room capacity

Tickets £5, are available from Bargain Booze, Middlemore Road, Northfield.
