Guests invited to Audley St George’s Place for an antiques and afternoon tea event

Audley St George’s Place, the luxury retirement village in Edgbaston, will host a unique antiques and afternoon tea event this month alongside antique experts from Fieldings Auctioneers. Whether it’s family jewellery, a collection of crystal or a silver plate hidden away in the loft, property owners at St George’s Place and members of the local community are invited to dig out any heirlooms to find out how much they might be worth.

The event will take place on Friday 17th November from 12pm–4pm, with tickets costing £20. Tickets must be booked in advance through Edward’s Trust and the full ticket price will go directly to the Edgbaston charity, supporting children and families who are facing loss and surviving bereavement.

Tickets include up to three antiques valuations by experts from Fieldings Auctioneers, including Will Farmer (pictured) from the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow. The team specialise in a broad range of areas including ceramics, glass, decorative arts, silver, jewellery, militaria and collectables.

Following antique valuations, guests will be treated to afternoon tea in the bistro. Dishes will include timeless classics such as delicate finger sandwiches, homemade scones and a variety of cakes and pastries.

Robert Diaper, General Manager of Audley St George’s Place, commented, “We are delighted to be hosting this very special event at the village, bringing together members of the local community and our owners whilst raising money for a great cause. We look forward to unearthing some forgotten treasures and maybe even discovering some antiques of real value.”
