There’s a varied line-up at the Robin 2 over the next week or so.
Sunday 17th September sees Multi-Story hitting the stage. These veterans of the British rock scene have been performing for over thirty years, touring with Magnum in their heyday amongst other, gaining a cult following and releasing two critically-acclaimed albums. Not wanting to rush a good thing, the band then waited three decades before their third album, 2016’s Crimson Stone, which has set the scene for another series of triumphant live events.
On Wednesday 20th September one of Europe’s foremost – and busiest – blues guitarists will be performing. In the eleven years since releasing his first album, 2006’s The Blues, Henrik Freischlader has put together an extensive back catalogue of studio and live releases, performed with BB King, Peter Green and Joe Bonamassa amongst others and gained a reputation for blistering live shows. This one promises to be no exception.
Thursday 21st September will see the Robin debut of rockers Vega. Four albums in seven years have seen the band carving a fanbase amongst lovers of melodic, European-influenced rock. Their high-energy live shows have also seen them headlining to great acclaim as well as playing with the likes of Michael Shenker and Joe Elliott.
One of the most enduring British bands of all time will be returning on Friday 22nd September. Big Country are responsible for some of the greatest anthems ever written and their live shows have been equally memorable. This year sees the thirtieth anniversary of the bestselling album Steeltown, which will be performed in full alongside other soundtracks for a generation.
