Mamma Mia by moonlight

Artrix to stage another classic drive-in movie.

Following the success of last year’s Drive-In Movies, Artrix Arts Centre in Bromsgrove is presenting another summer season of outdoor cinema.

The first of this year’s movies, Moulin Rouge! was a hit with audiences when it screened last Saturday and the entertainment continues with the drive-in screening of Mamma Mia on Friday 18th August.

Mamma Mia tells the story of a mother, a daughter, three possible dads and a trip down the aisle. It’s all set to a fantastic ABBA soundtrack and stars a host of Hollywood stars, including Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan.

Audiences are welcome to sing-a-long as loudly as they wish without the worry of disturbing others or singing out of tune, as each ticket holder listens to the film via headphones or wireless speakers, depending on the model of the car.

Gates open at 7.30pm and there will be a selection of hot food, snacks, alcoholic and soft drinks to buy on the night. Meals can also be pre-ordered when purchasing a ticket.

Ticket holders are encouraged to arrive early to park up and soak up the Drive-In Movie atmosphere, and to make the most of the last bit of summer sun before the film begins at sunset (9.00pm).

Tickets cost £25 per car. Artrix advises a limit of two people per car as those in the back seat will have a restricted view of the screen. Tickets are available to purchase online at www.artrix.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01527 577330.
