Top names in comedy coming to Artrix.

A stand-out season of stand-up is coming up at Artrix this Autumn, beginning with internationally renowned Scottish comedian Danny Bhoy on Thursday 7th September. Followed by The Scummy Mummies Show on Tuesday 19th September, based on the UK’s No. 1 Kids and Family Podcast this show promises an evening of laughs for less-than-perfect parents.

Best-loved comedy actor John Challis, brings his stories and anecdotes to audiences in Bromsgrove with Only Fools and Boycie on Wednesday 20th September.

Quirky comic Paul Foot returns to Artrix on Saturday 23rd September with his Edinburgh show, ‘Tis A Pity She’s a Piglet. Described as ‘Sublime, original and brilliant’ by The Independent, he tackles the big issues such as terrorism, Ant ‘n Dec, Immigration, X-Factor and breakfast, in his first new show in two years.

Best known as a regular on Radio 4 panel games such as I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue and Just A Minute, Jeremy Hardy come to Artrix on Sunday 24th September. Rounding things up for September, confronting the theme of mortality with hilarious (and tuneful) consequences, Mitch Benn brings his Edinburgh Festival show to Artrix on Saturday 30th September.

Also touring to Bromsgrove with his Edinburgh material, Robin Ince presents his new stand-up show Pragmatic Insanity on Saturday 14th October. The Fast Show star Simon Day revives four much-loved characters in Simon Day: In Character at Artrix on Tuesday 17th October, including The Fat Show’s pub bore Billy Bleach. And following a sell-out Edinburgh Festival season Ellie Taylor presents This Guy an unmissable new stand-up show on Thursday 19th October.

The internationally acclaimed Jimeoin, notorious for being Ridiculous, will be live and hilarious at Artrix on Thursday 26th October and Tom Stade: I Swear will be providing audiences with simply sublime comedy on Wednesday 8th November.

Luke Jermay’s Sixth Sense has gained critical acclaim with 5 Star reviews from Edinburgh to London’s West End. Jermay knows all, sees all and tells (almost) all in an expert display of telepathy at Artrix on Thursday 16th November.

Foghorn Unscripted will be wowing audiences in The Studio with their improvised comic delights on Friday 17th November and BBC New Comedy Award winner Steve Bugeja presents his new show Summer Camp, following two critically acclaimed sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, on Saturday 18th November.

One of the most talked about comics of the moment, Sophie Hagen comes to Artrix on Friday 24th November with Dead Baby Frog, a brand new show packed with brilliant, offbeat observation, passionate argument, and jokes.

TV stalwart and stand-up Phil Jupitus comes to Bromsgrove on Sunday 26th November with over an hour of tales, laughs and diversions. And finally for November, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, and ITV The Chase’s ‘Sinnerman’, Paul Sinha presents Shout Out To My Ex.

Throughout the season there will be Barnstormers Comedy showcases, A Black Country Night Out featuring local comedy talent, workshops and performances by Theo’s Comedy Skool and a sell-out performance by acclaimed comedian Phil Wang.
