The next event from business support organisation FinditinBirmingham is confirmed for Thursday 7th September. Local businesses will be encouraged to get on the housing ladder and meet with key buyers from local and regional housing companies to talk about the exciting opportunities due to take shape across the city.

Taking place at the Council House, Victoria Square, Birmingham from 7.15am until 10.30am (presentations commence 7.50am), Meet the Buyer sessions are available to book on a one-to-one basis, giving local businesses the chance to discuss forthcoming supply chain tenders with companies including Keepmoat Regeneration, Kier Living, Bouygues UK and whg Housing Association.

In addition, contractors recently confirmed on new projects with Birmingham Municipal House Trust will be attending, including Harper Group, E.Manton, Jessup Brothers and Oakleaf Construction Services. BMHT is the name for Birmingham City Council’s award-winning programme of housebuilding throughout the region and has helped to regenerate parts of the city in Newtown, Egg Hill and Saltley.

A number of key speakers will be at the event, including representatives from the Homes & Communities Agency, Birmingham City Council and Kier Living, who will be discussing current and future developments growth opportunities available throughout the region.

Maureen Griffiths from Birmingham City Council, comments: “With the Government unveiling new plans to tackle the UK’s widespread housing shortage over the coming weeks and months, which is sure to transform the housebuilding industry, we felt this was an important topic to cover in the region.

“With so many exciting developments taking shape across the city, times are changing, so now is the time to take advantage of local supply chain opportunities. By meeting these key buyers and developing long-lasting relationships, it will ultimately help keep this valuable investment within the local economy which can only be a benefit to Birmingham as a whole.”
