Eat, drink and be merry on Worcestershire information

Retail advice available at breakfast event.

Food and drink suppliers needing some advice on how to be retail ready can attend the next breakfast event from FinditinWorcestershire, which will bring together Worcestershire’s best small, local producers and help them forge links with high-profile retailers.

Taking place from 7.00am until 10.30am on Tuesday 18th July at Sixways Stadium in Worcester, attendees can visit a special Meet the Buyer zone to make connections with local delicatessens, hotels and venues, all wanting to meet new suppliers.

The county is synonymous with award winning, quality produce which is evident from the amount of farmers markets, delicatessens and independent shops in various towns and villages. And with increased consumer interest in buying local and reducing food miles, it is giving local suppliers and producers the opportunities they need to be successful in this competitive market place.

There is also a food and drink exhibition hall where producers can provide sampling and meet influential buyers.

Lorna Jeynes, Business Growth Manager at Worcestershire County Council, comments: “Our food and drink event last year was so well received, we felt it was important to support this sector again and organise leading experts who can give them the tools they need to become retail ready.. Interest is already high so we are encouraging those wanting to attend to book their place now to avoid disappointment.”

FinditinWorcestershire aims to bring together contractors and suppliers to provide supply chain opportunities to the local economy. With over 8,000 members on its website and growing daily, it has over 145 live contract opportunities on its website, with a total value of £5,844,000,000*.
