Solihull pub honours local fundraiser at re-opening

Charity events to follow refurbishment.

A prolific Midlands fundraiser has been honoured by The Greville Arms Sizzling Pub & Grill when invited to cut the ribbon and officially reopen the new look pub on Thursday 23rd March.

Danny Ryan MBE, who has successfully raised thousands of pounds for various charities across the Midlands, was chosen to be the pub’s guest of honour as they announced their support for Danny’s charity efforts. The team at the Greville Arms will be looking to raise £1,000 for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, with plenty of activities planned to support Danny’s work.

The Greville Arms, located on Cornyx Lane in Solihull, reopened last week as a Sizzling Pub and Grill after an extensive two-week refurbishment. Following the significant investment made at the Greville, six new jobs have been created for the local area. The pub now offers a new and updated menu serving great value and quality food all day, every day.

Speaking about the pub’s reopening general manager, Anthony Hall, said: “We’re so pleased at how great the Greville looks after it’s refurbishment, and we were so proud to have had Danny reopen the pub for us.

“The charity and community work Danny does is brilliant, he really is a true local hero. Danny is so well-regarded within the community, and we wanted to honour his efforts in this special way. Everyone at the Greville are so excited to start working with him as we look to raise money in support of the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.”
