Wolverhampton production firm enjoys video boost.

The growth in demand for video promotion has helped a Black Country production company double its turnover in just twelve months.

Acam Video, which is run by John Czerepaninec and Phil Clark, has sealed a string of new contracts to produce corporate material for high profile names, such as Tata Automotive and Jon Lee Recruitment.

The duo’s vast experience in the world of TV and Film is providing companies with an end-to-end creative solution for producing video in HD and 4K with the latest ‘win’ involving live internet streaming for UBBAD Promotions’ licensed bare knuckle boxing events.

“More and more businesses are choosing to use social media to spread the word about their companies, with 70% of internet users watching their video material online,”
explained John, who has been in the broadcast industry since 1976 and filmed US president Bill Clinton and Pele.

“Furthermore, the average person retains only 10% of what they hear, compared with 50% of what they see…it’s no wonder video is growing and it’s not just the major conglomerates who can afford to create exciting and engaging content.”

He continued: “We have picked up new clients over the last twelve months, who want an organisation who can deliver the entire solution, from storyboarding and filming to editing and hosting live streams.”

2016 was a big year for Acam Video, with Phil’s arrival opening up new areas of opportunity for the business.

The Dudley-born production expert has worked in the sector for more than 30 years and brought with him significant skills in directing and editing, using his state-of-the-art edit suite to develop short films, sporting events, corporate adverts and documentaries.

“We have known each other for some time, working together with Sky, BBC and a number of commercial production firms. Our skills complement each other nicely so when John asked me to consider joining him I jumped at the opportunity,” commented Phil.

“What attracted me to this venture is that we can offer filming and editing capabilities that you would usually only find with some of the largest and most expensive production houses in the world.

“The difference is we manage the project ourselves from start to finish, bringing in digital marketing support as and when required. This personal approach has really struck a chord with our clients and we are really excited at the technology we have invested in to offer live streaming in HD. The feedback we’ve received for our UBBAD work has made a few major broadcasters sit up and take notice.”

Joe Brown, Owner of UBBAD Promotions, added his support: “Since streaming our live events with Acam Video we have been noticed by many big TV companies and this led to a major new contract being signed to create a cinema release film on bare knuckle boxing.

“This is the biggest development in our history and will show the sport in a great light and provide an insight into what is involved.”

In addition to building a growing corporate client base, Wolverhampton-based Acam Video also continues to work with the BBC, ITV, Sky Sports and a host of production houses on freelance assignments. It has recently launched a brand new website website to help it showcase its work and secure new contracts with the public and private sector.
