The initiative, which saw In2Ambition successfully apply to deliver their innovative careers programme at 14 schools, aims to enable young people to gain the skills and attributes which employers require, as well as creating substantial partnerships between businesses and education providers.

As part of the roll-out, which will see £2.4 million invested in the region by 2018, In2Ambition will be working with secondary schools using the Build a Business Grant which aims to form lasting relationships between educational institutions and businesses from a wide variety of industries.

The Henley-based provider will host careers events for students aged 13 to 19 at Alcester Academy, Alcester Grammar School, Henley in Arden School, Higham Lane School, King Edward VI School Stratford, King Edward VI Sixth Form College, Myton School, Stratford Girls Grammar School, Stratford upon Avon School, and Trinity Catholic High School.

Kufa Matiya (pictured), CEO at In2Ambition, said: “The Build a Business Grant will see us coordinate and deliver a variety of career related events, including work experience and apprenticeship workshops, business-focused open evenings, one to one sessions for students to discuss career options, and a series of unique career detective days which aim to introduce students to a wealth of different industries in an interactive, ‘speed-networking’ style format.”

The project will also see In2Ambition work to provide much-needed advice through a combination of careers events, one to one sessions and career detective events at Hereward College, River House School, Round Oak School and Woodlands School; all of which cater for children with special educational needs.
