Start-up specialists to offer bespoke service.
Harper James Solicitors, a full commercial law firm that remotely operates around the country, has launched its services into the Birmingham area. The innovative legal practice has recently specialised in helping start-ups and growth companies by offering lawyers that have worked at UK top 100 law firms at costs that are up to 80% lower than conventional commercial firms.
Harper James Solicitors, first opened in Sheffield, Yorkshire, hiring its first legal assistant back in November 2014, and by the end of 2016, the pioneering commercial law firm will be closer to 50 staff, operating in Sheffield, London and now in Birmingham.
The expanding law firm, instructed by the likes of venture capital firm Midven, advanced technology company Aeristech and popular recipe website Whisk.com, is able to keep costs down for potential clients due to its business model and also offering a ‘remote lawyer’ service, where legal representation from Harper Hames is able to meet with the client at a Birmingham based location, suited to the client’s needs, or at their office based at Waterloo Street in the city centre.
Harper James Solicitors offers a number of packages which aim to provide a full service commercial law offering to businesses, ranging from start-ups through to established companies throughout the UK.
Toby Harper, founder and CEO of Harper James Solicitors said: “We are delighted to be fully launching our commercial law services in the Birmingham. The majority of our lawyers have either worked for the UK’s top 100, or in-house at large international organisations, and we’re able to pass on our expertise to businesses in Birmingham at a fraction of the cost due to our unique business model.
“Harper James Solicitors has very little overheads and we’re able to pass on these savings to our clients, whilst still providing a city grade of service and technical expertise. We have a number of options for clients to take advantage of, including our Enterprise package, which we believe many businesses in the nation’s capital can benefit from.
“We understand in particular how costly and daunting running a high growth business can be and what sort of legal documentation and support you may require. We’re very passionate and dedicated to meeting the needs of growth companies. Our Enterprise service provides access to partner level lawyers at just £69 an hour, meaning new businesses can take advantage of a high level of legal support, without compromising growth potential.”
