New fashion event makes Birmingham debut

Vintage clothing that’s worth the weight.

A brand new event for 2016 comes to Birmingham’s St Martin in the Bullring church on Saturday 9th April. The Vintage Weigh & Pay allows customers to pick and mix their vintage clothing, as they would candy in a sweet shop!

The brainchild of award-winning Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair, the concept is to provide good quality clothing at a wholesale price not normally offered to the general public.

The Vintage Weigh & Pay offers extremely affordable vintage clothing from the 1960s to the 1980s direct from a wholesaler at only £15 per kilo. The event tours the UK with dates already announced in Derby, Sheffield and Leeds.

Co-founder and Organiser Lou Lou Glover says “It’s a unique concept where our customers simply pay for the weight of what they pick – and they can buy as little or as much as they want. This makes it super cheap with light weight dresses and t-shirts literally ringing up at £1.50.”

The event was launched in Sheffield in February, and more than 1,000 bargain-hunting customers came through the door.

Lou Lou goes on to say “The event in February was so popular that we realised there was a huge market for this. It’s not just shopping; it’s a novel and fun way to buy clothing, and the quality of our stock is what sets it above other similar events.”

Five tonnes of vintage clothing will fill St. Martins on Saturday 9th April. Customers can pick through thousands of vintage items, go to the weighing station and pay only for the weight.

Entry: £1.50 (Early bird from 10am: £3) Facebook: www.facebook.com/events/1705885296296099/
