Childhood memories for Birmingham Jazz.
There’s an exciting return to the Red Lion in the Jewellery Quarter for original nine piece jazz crossover ensemeble the Matt Gough Group, as Birmingham Jazz stages its latest event this coming Friday. Under the leadership of trumpeter Matt, the band will be performing the extended work of this multi-instrument band’s The Forgotten Fairground Project.
Inspired by childhood imagination and what it means to grow up, the performance will feature excerpts from The Forgotten Fairground as well as compositions from other members of the band, a new jazz with string group playing a mixed playlist that is new and refreshing in the contemporary jazz world.
