Christmas comes early for homeless charity

Call for volunteers to join clean up campaign.

Sifa Fireside and leading concentrated disinfectant brand Zoflora, are calling out to the public to join them in a Big Clean Up on Tuesday 8th December, to revitalise a facility for vulnerable people and help to make their Christmas brighter.

The Allcock Street based charity works with those who are homeless, affected by alcohol or otherwise socially excluded to improve their physical, social and mental wellbeing. To make their Christmas a little better, Zoflora is calling on volunteers to help with a deep clean of the facility, to make it sparkling and smelling fresh for the festive season.

Mary Mantom, Facilities Manager at Sifa Fireside said: “To have such an established brand as Zoflora assisting us, is fantastic. Vulnerable people need so much support, and this time of year is particularly hard. To know that they are being considered and helped, is a great boost for them. We are looking forward to having the lovely fragrance of Zoflora in our building too.”

Sifa Fireside empowers people to meet their short and long term goals through practical support, including daily drop-ins, a resettlement service, a specialist alcohol support service, well-being and activity groups and an employment and training programme.

The charity relies completely on volunteers, and provides food, showers, a bed and clothing as well as much more to anyone who needs a helping hand.

As a thank you, Zoflora will be providing snacks, refreshments, campaign T-shirts and product-packed goody bags to those who give their time on the day.
