School choir raised charity funds

Reynolds Cross sing and sign for Children in Need.

Pupils from Reynalds Cross in Solihull were recently joined by Pudsey the Bear to entertain guests at Touchwood with a fantastic vocal performance, all to raise money for Children in Need.

A total of 21 pupils from the school dedicated their lunch breaks and evenings to practice their favourite songs and help raise money for Children in Need. Their unique performance, which combines singing and signing, drew in the crowds at Touchwood and guests were soon filling up the buckets, whilst tapping along to the likes of Take That, Abba, One Direction and Elton John. Their performance, which was enhanced by the acoustics of the Atrium, meant the whole of Touchwood was filled with the joyful tunes Reynalds Cross had worked so hard to perfect.

Joy Grayson from Reynalds Cross comments: “The children absolutely loved their performance at Touchwood. It’s the perfect venue for our choir and we were overwhelmed by the support and generous donations from the public. Thanks to everyone who supported us and helped us raise an amazing £625 for Children in Need!”

Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, adds: “We always love welcoming the Reynalds Cross choir to Touchwood, especially when it’s for such a fantastic cause. They certainly know how to draw in the crowds and leave everyone in a great mood. We can’t wait for their next performance!”
