Litter summit invite from city council

Google Hangout to witness video conference.

Anyone with an interest in how we can all work to keep Birmingham looking as clean and green as possible is invited to view proceedings from Birmingham City Council’s first-ever Google Hangout this morning.

Cllr Lisa Trickett, Cabinet Member for a Green, Smart and Sustainable City, will be chairing the online video conference, starting at 10.30am.

The Hangout is part of a wider summit entitled #tidybrum: Love where we Live. To take part, visit: https://plus.google.com/events/c5d2j07tudjd8tnj13g7afsvj3s?hl=en

Cllr Trickett said: “The top priority for the citizens of Birmingham is cleaner streets. In recognition of that, we are drawing up a cleaner streets plan, which we want everyone in the city – from individuals, to community organisations to big businesses – to all play a part in.

“To ensure we meet the needs and wishes of everyone, we want to hear from as many people as possible. We want to hear their thoughts on how we deal with issues like litter, refuse collection, recycling and flytipping. It’s this feedback and discussion that will help us draw up the plan for how we deliver services in the future.”
