More top-line jazz for next weekend.

Birmingham Jazz will be presenting another exciting event at the Red Lion on on Friday in the shape of London-based trio Preston-Glasgow-Lowe.

Formed in 2011, three young jazz adventurers hooked up while making their names working with such names as Melody Gardot, Robert Mitchell and Tommy Smith. Their shared interest in improvised music rooted in longer compositions brought them together in 2011 and their guitar – bass – drums line-up shows what good things can happen when the right people get together.

Bring a unique and seasoned sound derived from their work as side-men combined with their shared love of improvisation, intricate composition, rhythm, and accessible melodies they Aim to expand on the format of the guitar trio by combining their virtuosic skills as soloists and accompanists with extensive composition and elaborate arrangements.
