National Chocolate Week at Cadbury World

Like you need an excuse…

With National Chocolate Week taking place next week (13th–19th October) and a whole host of upcoming events for the whole family, there’s no better time to book your visit to the famous chocolate attraction.

This National Chocolate Week, Cadbury World will be hosting a special interview with two members from the team of chocolatiers. On Wednesday 15th October at 12pm, the chocolatiers will take to the attraction’s official Facebook and Twitter pages for ‘Challenge a Chocolatier’, answering all of your chocolate related questions! Whether its tips for creating your own chocolates at home or a burning question about how they make some of their fantastic chocolate creations, find out whether their job is really as good as it sounds!

Based in the heart of Bournville in Birmingham, Cadbury World is home to 14 zones dedicated to one of the nation’s most-loved treats. From learning about the history of the cocoa bean and finding out how all your favourite Cadbury chocolates are made, to taking a seat on the magical Cadabra ride and meeting the infamous drumming gorilla on Advertising Avenue, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.

Brand new for 2014 is 4D Chocolate Adventure, an interactive cinema experience which will have guests of all ages on the edge of their seats. You’ll experience the feeling of diving into a pot of delicious melted chocolate, riding the Crunchie rollercoaster, and taking to the skies in the Creme Egg Airship, piloted by none other than the Caramel Bunny.

The stars of the 4D Chocolate Adventure will also be on hand at the attraction next weekend (18th and 19th October), with Freddo, Caramel Bunny, Creme Egg and Mr Cadbury’s Parrot entertaining visitors and posing for photographs.

The attraction is also hosting a Halloween Spooktacular this half term, with plenty of hocus pocus and ghoulish goings on for some scarily good fun. Live entertainment show ‘The Scream Factor’ returns with host Dermot O’Scary, as this year’s contestants battle it out to win the mystery prize. The attraction will be also be frightfully decorated, with special seasonal offerings in the Cadbury Café and World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop.

Next month, Sooty’s Wacky Workshop returns to the attraction, with shows throughout the day on 8th and 9th November. The final weekend of the show, which has enjoyed an exclusive stint at Cadbury World, is great fun for the whole family and definitely one not to be missed! Visitors will also have the chance to experience the history behind the famous Bournville village with the attraction’s Heritage Weekend on 15th and 16th November.

As the Christmas period draws nearer, Cadbury World also has a whole host of activities planned to spread some festive cheer. The popular pantomime returns for a third year, with a brand new performance of Snow White and the Chuckle Beans, a chocolatey twist on the original fairy tale. Santa will once again be flying in from the North Pole to his magical Christmas grotto, offering small free gifts to every child. There will also be a sprinkling of Christmas cheer across the attraction, with festive decorations and a Christmas scene handcrafted by the team of chocolatiers!
