Fresh from its success in the UK Barista Championships and being voted as serving the best coffee in Birmingham, the artisan coffee shop is much in demand to expand throughout the city.

In preparation for opening of the next branch at Millennium Point, Six Eight Kafé has hired one of the top managers in the hospitality trade in Birmingham: Jason Goodger.

Six Eight owner Devinder Dhallu said “While we have had a fantastic three years and we are extremely proud of achievements in the coffee industry, but we needed the expertise to take us to the from a small coffee shop to a large multi-site business.

“With his experience of managing top restaurants in Birmingham such as Bank plus Mews of Mayfair and Marco Pierre White’s Kings Road Steakhouse, we knew Jason was exactly the person to take us to the next level”

The artisan coffee shop already has become a leader of the blossoming independent coffee scene in the Midlands, but firmly stamped its presence on the national scene when one of its baristas reached the semi-finals of the UK Barista Championships and went on to win the prize for Best Newcomer. Earlier this year Six Eight was also voted one of the top coffee shops in the Birmingham by the Birmingham Post.
