Thestudio cements best sales year to date with new appointment

Good times for city centre business venue.

Birmingham-based meeting and event space thestudio has appointed a new sales and events coordinator following its most successful year to date.

Increasing on last year’s revenue for the overall business by 29% both the Cannon Street venue in Birmingham and Lever Street venue in Manchester have attributed to this success.

Managing Director Emma Jennings said: “We extended the Birmingham venue by two floors earlier in the year and as a result have been able to smash our sales targets for this financial year. It’s a credit to the hard work and determination of our staff and we look forward to building upon this success in 2014-15.
“The expansion and great sales figures have also allowed us to expand our team in Birmingham, with the addition of a Sales and Events Coordinator. We’re also close to sealing a deal on a third venue in a location that we are extremely excited to soon be confirming.”

Recent Plymouth University graduate Laura Nash has taken up the position. Laura said: “I studied event management at university and spent my sandwich year working full-time at thestudio from 2012-13. When I left the new spaces were still in the planning stages so I’m really looking forward to being able to sell them. I’ve worked in a number of different environments but thestudio team is fantastic and I really couldn’t imagine myself working for any other venue. I’m excited to help the business grow and see it expand to bigger and better things.”

The studio venue company has been trading since 2006 and caters for more than 60,000 visitors per year. To find out more about the venues in Birmingham or Manchester visit www.studiovenues.co.uk or contact the team on 0121 634 2800.
