Birmingham city centre development to be finished by mid-August.
Construction is now 95% complete on the latest Central Plaza phase at Crest Nicholson Regeneration’s Park Central development in Birmingham city centre.
The central phase at the development, Central Plaza – which is made up of two 13 storey ‘eye-shaped’ buildings – is now in the last four weeks of construction with all 132 luxury apartments due to be complete and delivered by mid-August.
Marking the final stages of the build programme, the scaffolding has now been removed from the second Central Plaza to reveal a unique ‘chameleon’ façade that changes colour from green to bronze in the sun.
Pete Bayliss, senior project manager at Park Central, said: “We’re now in the final stages of the build programme for Central Plaza, with the last property inspections taking place over the next few weeks to ensure all the apartments are ready for the new homeowners to move in. Currently, the construction team is busy installing carpets and decorating the communal areas on the upper floors, which means we’ve got some fantastic views as we work!
“Impressively, Central Plaza has been delivered in little over 18 months which has largely been fuelled by the continuous demand for apartments there has been from new homeowners and potential purchasers visiting the site.”
Popular with a range of purchasers including first time buyers, downsizers and investors, the first building at Central Plaza is now 99% occupied and the second building has already welcomed its first 10 new homeowners, with more due to move in this month.
