Birmingham college celebrates university application success

Abbey College Birmingham is celebrating a highly successful year of students being offered places on a wide range of medical degrees, including Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Optometry.

70 per cent of students who applied for medical related degree courses from the college have been offered a place at university to study the course of their choice.

Sonika Moturi, (17) from Wolverhampton, is studying Maths, Chemistry and Biology at the college. She has been offered a conditional place at Plymouth University to study Dentistry and said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have secured an offer to study Dentistry as it has been my ambition for many years. I was naturally nervous when the letter came through the door but I also felt confident, knowing that if I should be offered a place on the course, I had been given the best possible start to my career.”
