Thought for the week

Gordon Harley reminds us that size doesn’t matter.

I read a lovely story the other day about a journalist who had a near death experience while working in Afghanistan. When she came out of her coma, her sense of being near to death changed her. However rather than go searching for some big life changing thing to do she was struck by the small things in life, the things that you take for granted such as birdsong. The incredibly beautiful things that surround us, that we forget about.

I was out cycling this week and was struck by the beauty of the bluebells. They seemed to shine through the green vegetation. It was a lovely sight.

This week I would encourage you all to look at and see the small everyday things. You may be surprised by the beauty that surrounds you.
