Winners announced at the inaugural British Indian Awards 2013

The winners of the British Indian Awards presented by accountancy and business advisory firm – BDO LLP – were announced last Friday at the ceremony at the St. Johns Hotel in Birmingham.

The evening honoured the success and achievements of Britain’s Indian individuals, groups and business people. The night was one of recognition and celebration, which highlighted the significant role Indian’s play in contributing to a better Great Britain.

There were eighteen awards presented on the night, the winners are:

The awards ceremony showcased the very best in talent and we have been proud to be part of the celebrations. Congratulations to all the winners, who demonstrate an impressive mix of dedication, hard work, integrity and creativity.”

Over 400 people attended the glamorous event, including hosts, Sunny and Shay, from the Bafta nominated Channel 4’s ‘The Family’, who now present their own show for BBC London 94.9fm. The entertainment of the evening was provided by the talented Desi Nach.

As well as recognising the achievements of Indian men and women at the forefront of their communities and industries, the event also raised money for the official charity partners Pratham UK.

  1. Great to see this award for recognition of Indian British awards, one or two familiar names and others who have achieved amazing success but not being recognised so good to put them on the stage! Well done to all.
