This Week at the Robin

Old, new and something in between.

Terry ReidWednesday sees one of the great unsung legions of British music appearing. In a career spanning almost fifty years Terry Reid has toured America with the Rolling Stones, turned down the chance to sing with Led Zeppelin, performed at such legendary occasions as the Isle of Wight Festival and opening the first Glastonbury and more recently has begun touring again regularly. Tickets £15

Another Robin favourite arrives on Thursday, but this one couldn’t be more different from an old sixties muso. Half Man Half Biscuit are modern day social commentators, post-punk icons and could never be accused of over-exposure. Seven or eight gigs a year is usually their maximum so each one is a special event. Tickets £18

On Friday there’s Flash – a tribute to Queen. Tickets £10

Soul & Motown party band Soul’d Out perform on Saturday. Tickets £8

Another Robin regular appears on Sunday. It’s now 25 years since Fish left Marillion and in that time he’s released a string of critically-acclaimed albums as well as gaining a cult following for music that defies both fashion and genre. This year’s Feast of Consequences is his first studio release for six years and another memorable night is in store for his loyal audience. Tickets £22.50
