Photographers from across the region have until 15 April to submit images to an open exhibition at The Public entitled, HomeMade.

The exhibition, which will be displayed from 15 May to 29 September 2013, will showcase the creative talents of the region.  Over the last few months the Black Country venue have been calling for budding photographers to send in their images of prized homemade possessions and the fun they’ve had making them.

From growing award winning veg in the local allotment, to baking a delicious selection of cup cakes, making a stunning new dress from scratch or spending hours slaving away over a much adored kit car – photos from all walks of life are welcome.

Whether a photo of a friend or relative, a local group, or prized possession, all images inspired a little bit of creativity are wanted.  Whether you’re an avid upcycler or creator of handmade greetings cards, The Public wants to hear from you.

Linda Saunders, Managing Director of The Public said: “HomeMade is a great way of showcasing the fun that can be had making things.  Our open exhibitions have always proved incredibly popular amongst our visitors and help celebrate the creative talent that resides in the region.”

A selection of the best images submitted to ‘HomeMade’, will be displayed within the gallery for free from 15 May to 29 September 2013 and also feature on The Public’s online gallery.
