Coventry PR firm beats off the London agencies

A Coventry PR firm has beaten off stiff competition from four London agencies to secure its biggest ever client win.

Denise TaylorBridge PR & Media Services will now represent countrywide independent garage scheme, Trust My Garage, in positioning it as a household name and brand for UK motorists seeking a trustworthy independent garage.

Trust My Garage was set up by the Independent Garage Association (IGA) following a government call for better regulation of the independent garage industry. As such, it is a truly independent scheme. Members of Trust My Garage are true professionals, complying with a strict code of practice and because the IGA is part of the Retail Motor Industry Federation, one of Britain’s oldest trade bodies, motorists can be reassured by the integrity, reputation and longevity of the organisation.

It was Bridge PR’s knowledge and understanding of the independent garage industry, together with its passion and enthusiasm for the project that appealed most to Stuart James, Independent Garage Association Director at the Retail Motor Industry.

“Bridge came to us with a proven track record in our industry, thanks to the work they had previously done with another independent garage scheme. It was immediately clear during their pitch that they fully understood our brief and had lots of innovative ideas to help us raise the profile of Trust My Garage to motorists all over the country,” he said.

The deal comes at an exciting time for Bridge PR, which has started the year with four new clients in the space of just three months. In January the company began work with manufacturing firm BAKER and has recently added Midland’s based Obsession Salon and Spa chain, and atg airports – a leading manufacturer of airfield lighting solutions  – to its growing client portfolio.

Denise Taylor, Managing Director, added: “We are finding our services and expertise are much in demand and this is allowing us grow in both consumer and b2b PR.

“Trust My Garage has some impressive projects in the pipeline and is working hard to improve the motorist’s perception of the independent garage trade. We are thrilled to be working alongside them to promote the benefits of visiting an independent Trust My Garage member to the UK motoring public.”
