Students get set to quiz top business brains

A ‘Question Time’ event featuring some of the region’s top business brains is taking place at Coventry University on Friday 30th November.

Students in Business team - Coventry University

The ‘Question Time for Business’ event team of (L-R) Matthew Stott, Anita Arif, Derik Anyang and Jane Nyamu.

The guest panel has been selected to appeal to students from the University’s Business School so that they can quiz them with industry-related questions.

The event – which has been organised by the Students in Business team at the University – is open to any student, but would appeal more to those who are studying business-related subjects or have set up their own business while at university.

The expert panel that will be facing the questions are:

  • Sir John Egan (Chancellor of Coventry University);
  • Geoffrey Robinson (MP for Coventry North West);
  • Julie White (Managing director of D-Drill, Businesswoman of the Year 2012);
  • Riz Navsarka (CEO of MesmerEyez and alumna of Coventry University).

Event organiser Derik Anyang, who studies on the University’s Enterprise and Entrepreneurship degree, said: “We are delighted to have secured such an interesting mix of panel members. All have had, or continue to have, a strong presence within industry and have made their mark in the business world. The advice and information that they will be able to share with the students should prove to be extremely valuable and we are very grateful to them for giving up their time to take part in this event.

“I am sure the students will have a number of interesting questions for them to answer and we’re hopeful for some lively debates as each of the panel members will bring something different to the table.”

‘Question Time for Business’ takes place in Square One in new student building, the Hub, on Friday 30th November at 1pm and is expected to last a couple of hours.
