Student art goes on show at The Public

Sculpture, glasswork and photography by creative University of Wolverhampton students will be going on display as part of an annual exhibition.

Pete JenningsThe School of Art and Design MA Degree show will be held at The Public in West Bromwich from Saturday, 29 September to Sunday, 28 October 2012.

The exhibition showcases the work of more than 60 Master’s students along with artwork by PhD students and Artists in Residence.

The work on display ranges from ceramics and glass to photography and sculpture. Entry is free and open to everyone.

Dew Harrison, Associate Dean for Research and Postgraduate Studies, said: “Studying for a Master’s degree is not only a huge challenge but an opportunity to explore a subject that fascinates and excites you in greater depth. Our graduates have once again created innovative and thought-provoking work in a range of media.

“This year’s exhibition features some really exciting artwork from our students and we’re looking forward to welcoming people to The Public to see their work.”

The show is open from Saturday 29 September to Sunday 28 October, Wednesday to Saturday, 10am – 5pm, Sundays, 11am – 3pm, and is free to visit.
